Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven Mt 6:10
This year we have made our own advent wreath. Same theory as the wrapping paper. I have got some blank white paper and am painting my kids hands green. Then I cut around their hand prints and glued them down to a card circle. I cut some cork mat and covered it in aluminium foil to glue on as well for under my candles. My candles holders in the purple and pink I was lucky enough to find a couple of years ago, but you could just buy some small glasses and some glass paint and they would look the same. I like them because you don't have to worry about running out of candle as you just replace the tealights. The cork mat was an old heat protector - coasters would be just as good.

OUR CHRISTMAS WRAPPING PAPER
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Mt 6:10
Every year I try and do something different in preparation for Christmas with my boys and something that keeps them focused on the true meaning of Christmas - Santa is just a bonus. This year, one thing we have done is make our own wrapping paper! We went to the local store and bought a packet of cheap sponges. We found an image of baby Jesus in a manger on the computer and cut the sponge to that shape. Doesn't look as amazing as I would like, but we all know what it is! and then we cut 2 different size stars for the star above where baby Jesus lay. I found some paints laying around home and mixed them with water and away we went. Messy, but a lot of fun was to be had and many a giggle - especially fun when we discovered that our hand prints would be really cool coz God made us!!!!! They will give presents with pride this year I'm sure.

MY ADVENT NAILS!
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Mt 6:10
Well I guess I have a childish sense of fun and occasion, but this year I have decided to mark the season of advent with my advent nails! - the white one is my Christmas nail. Amazing how many people ask why these colours and what does it mean. Also being the mum of four boys, I don't paint my nails very often at all so it is reminding me that I am a girl and I do have a pink side hidden!!!

EBONY'S ROSARY BRACELET
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven Mt 6:10
Well, I made my cousin's daughter a rosary bracelet for her First Holy Communion. I went with the roses again and was really happy with how it turned out.

THANKS GOD FOR MY CAULIFLOWER!
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven Mt 6:10
Well this winter, I thought that I would try my hand at growing some cauliflowers. To be honest I have never had any luck at all with growing them before so it was reluctantly that I tried it again - and WOW - GOD IS SO AMAZING!!!!! Thank you God so much for my beautiful crop - a bumper crop that couldn't have been anticipated. Thank you Lord for the sun, and the rain, the soil and the ability to till the earth - Amen.
The very first one I picked I took a photo of as I stood in awe - I really didn't want to eat it I was so chuffed!

CLAY ROSARY BEADS
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven Mt 6:10
A friend of mine showed me a website with some clay rosaries and I loved them. I couldn't get them out of my mind and finished up doing a lot of research and having a go! I decided to make a bead with a yellow rose on the inside as yellow is the colour of conversion and the colour around the outside of the rose is blue for Our Blessed Mother as the conversion of souls have been ordained unto her. So I am calling it the Conversion Rosary.
This weekend my cousin's daughter is making her First Holy Communion so I am going to try and make some more. I can't wait as I really enjoyed making these. I'll keep you posted!
